Scholarships for Overseas Master's Students

The following scholarships are available to students from Jordan.
British Chevening Scholarships For prospective graduate students from countries with which the UK has, or is likely to develop, strong economic links. The aim of these scholarships is to bring to the UK present and future leaders, decision-makers and opinion-formers from countries with which the UK's economic relations are expected to develop. Students must apply to the British Embassy or High Commission in their own country of origin. The closing date is normaly 12 months before the start of the academic year. The awards are based on academic merit. Eligibility: The scholarships are normally awarded to students intending to pursue Master's degree or MPhil/PhD programmes. Occasionally they are awarded for shorter, vocationally-oriented programmes of between three and six months. Students must already be established in a subject area or profession and be from countries with which the UK has, or is likely to develop, strong economic links.
Eligibility: Students must be applying to UCL for a research degree in a Science and Technology field. Students will be expected to return to their home country upon completion of their degree.
Eligibility: Prospective Master's students under 40 years of age, who are Jordanian, Lebanese, Palestinian or Syrian nationality, and are normally resident in the Arab world and do not hold any form of British residency. Students must be willing to sign a binding undertaking to return to one of the target countries for a set period following the funded studies in the UK.
Alumni ScholarshipThese awards are based on academic merit and aim to enable and encourage those who have gained a UCL undergraduate degree to pursue full-time Master's degree studies at UCL. Eligibility: Prospective full-time master's who have successfully completed or be currently completing undergraduate studies at UCL.
Eligibility: Applicants must be current UCL students, or recent graduates in any area, interested in and passionate about policy and politics, current affairs and social justice, and the work of IPPR, as well as enthusiastic about political research. Applicants can come from any country, but must be able to work in the UK. They should have some research skills, and need to be committed to the aims of IPPR of wanting to build a fairer, more democratic and environmentally sustainable world.
Eligibility: Applicants must currently be registered on an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at UCL.
Eligibility: Prospective full-time undergraduate students.
Eligibility: Applicants must be registered students of UCL on any programme of study leading to a degree or diploma.
Eligibility: Prospective MPhil/PhD students from any country who are applying for a full-time MPhil/PhD research in any department of UCL. Students must be intending to pursue research relevant to the aim of the scholarship.

Eligibility: Current students registered at UCL for full-time MPhil/PhD or EngD programme who are in receipt of three years funding for their normal MPhil/PhD or EngD programme. Where the student is in receipt of a scholarship or funding e.g. from a Research Council, written permission for the arrangement must be sought from the relevant body. The scholarships can be taken at any point during the MPhil/PhD or EngD programme.
Eligibility: Prospective and current UCL research students undertaking full-time or part-time study who hold, or are expecting to achieve the equivilent to at least an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree. While current students may apply, those entering their third-year of research will normally only be considered for funding in exceptional circumstances. Available annually to prospective and current UCL research students.
Eligibility: Any Masters (inc. Mres) student. One year only. 2nd year students are not barred from reapplying.
Eligibility: Candidates must be registered students of UCL who are reading for an undergraduate or graduate degree programme.
Eligibility: Current students at UCL.
Eligibility: Current students who have successfully completed the first-year of their undergraduate programme in any subject at UCL, who show an excellence in golf (or other sport) and excellence in their academic studies.
Eligibility: Applicants for the scholarship must have applied and accepted a place on a postgraduate taught programme at UCL by the date of the scheme application deadline. Students must have completed their undergraduate degree at UCL.
Eligibility: currently enrolled Home, Overseas, undergraduate and graduate students registered on programmes of more than one year's duration who are not in the first-year of their programme. The Scholarships are awarded primarily for academic excellence demonstrated in the student's current degree programme. Financial circumstances will also be taken into account. Students with Continuing Research Status (CRS) are not eligible.
Eligibility: Prospective and current research students who are liable to pay tuition fees at the Overseas rate (Overseas fees status). Students must be holding, or expecting to achieve, at least an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Please note that while current students may apply, those entering their third-year of research will normally only be considered for funding in exceptional circumstances.
Eligibility: Current UCL students enrolled for study or research at any level. Nominations may relate to activities or achievements in the current or the previous academic year provided the student was enrolled at UCL at the relevant time. Awards are open only to individual students – a group of students therefore may not be nominated for an award
Eligibility: Prospective undergraduate students who are enrolled on UCL's University Preparatory Certificate for the Humanities (UPCH).
Eligibility: Prospective undergraduate students who are enrolled on UCL's University Preparatory Certificate for Science and Engineering (UPCSE).
Eligibility: Must be final-year IB Diploma students attending a United World College or - in the case of of candidates from Waterford KaMhlaba UWC, have completed their studies in the preceding calendar year, who lack the financial means necessary to pursue undergraduate degree studies at UCL. Students must be liable to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate, and must have selected UCL as their first choice on the UCAS admission form (selecting UCL as the insurance choice does not satisfy the regulations for this award).
